Destination Cancun Part II

Friday, December 3, 2010
Excellence Playa Mujeres, Cancun, Mexico

Day 1, Part 2
The Excitement Builds

Hair and makeup done...Rebecca and her girls head to their suite to begin dressing for the big moment, but first, the arrival of a gorgeous gift from Michael. A Swarovski butterfly necklace from Jared. What a lucky girl. I think what really brought her to tears, as well as the bridesmaids and myself, was the custom card he made her with photos of their precious pets.

While the girls hung out and had a light lunch and mimosas, I headed off to see what the guys were up to. That turned out to be a few beers and shooting some pool. No tension here...everyone was just waiting for the moment to arrive.

Then it was back to the honeymoom suite to see the bride getting dressed. She had tons of help from mom Doris, sisters and future sister-in-laws and friends. Rebecca looked breathtaking! Don't you just love the invisible sandals?

Next stop...the ceremony! Watch for the next episode of "Destination Cancun".

Louise and Sam begin their life together

November 6, 2010
Milton, GA

Louise and Sam came to me through ServiceMagic.com and with only a few weeks til their wedding, the race was on! They had planned an impromptu family gathering at a beautiful property in Milton on a couple of acres surrounded by bamboo trees. A couple of weeks before the wedding, Louise, her daughter and I met at the property for a tour and the unique opportunity to go through this beautiful private home where the festivities were to take place.

On the wedding day, it was all about family and friends. Louise and Sam's plan was to have a gathering and sometime during the afternoon, they would simply go out onto the deck and have the ceremony with Sam's father as the officiant.

Upon arriving and capturing a few details and candids, we scouted the property for some great photos of the two of them. With the old barn, bamboo trees, unique staircase and many other choices, we were occupied for awhile, including some photos of them dancing by the grand piano, where Sam's brother played some great tunes as background to their moments.

The ceremony was touching, from laughter to tears from the bride and groom as well as family and friends.

After the ceremony we took a group shot of all who attended as well as some other groups the bride and groom wanted to take photos with.

It was a short day but I know Sam and Louise have something special and lasting and I felt honored to be a part of it.
