It all started on Facebook. This beautiful girl named Thereza friend requested me looking for model type photos for her portfolio. She had some images on Facebook. Certainly not professional quality, but there was something about her. A natural beauty, a grace, great makeup application without overdoing it, gorgeous long dark hair. I asked her who did her hair and makeup and she replied "I did". I knew we had to work together. We spoke on occasion for a few months before finally setting a date.
I had a particular look in mind that I wanted for her. She wasn't to sure about the look but, being a good sport, went along with it. The date was set, she had a long way to travel coming all the way from Augusta, and the weather was doing it's best NOT to cooperate. The look was a cocktail/evening look. Something higher fashion than was typical for Thereza. So, of course, the weather turned cold and damp. I wanted city light shots and we worked our hardest to get them. With my assistant and second shooter Andrea to help, we got a fair amount of what we wanted.
Thereza still has some posing to work on but for the first time out I think it went really well. Remember, it was 40 degrees and drizzling the whole time...this girl was cold! Let me know what you think.
Thanks to Andrea for her help, Greg and Cam for helping Thereza, Thereza for coming all this way for a cold, wet night, Neil Van Niekerk for BFT and Bruce Dorn for the videolight ideas.
