Excellence Playa Mujeres
Arthur Murray Dance
The highlight of the trip is said and done...Rebecca and Michael are now husband and wife...the perfect union. Now it's time to PARTY!!!
After the ceremony and formal pictures and much needed alone time with their photographer...ahem...Rebecca and Michael joined their guests for cocktail hour on the beach. What an amazing setting! Hugs and kisses were given...shots were drunk...the party was officially ON!
The group moved on to the outdoor poolside restaurant for the reception. Rebecca and Michael were announced and went straight into their first dance...a choreographed dance they had been taking lessons for and it really paid off. They put on quite a show and looked fantastic!
As everyone seated for dinner, we noticed all the little touches the bride and groom had put into the planning of this destination wedding. From gift bags at the rehearsal dinner to the custom menu...everything was spectacular. Doesn't that dessert look to die for?
The cake was in line with all the other decor in its bright colors...and the bride and groom enjoyed cutting into it!
Toasts were given by the Rebecca's sisters, Cassandra and Lissa; Cory, Rebecca's dad, and eventually all the bridal party. Then the bride and groom took the time and thought to thank all their family and friends who traveled all the way to Mexico to help them celebrate their new lives together.
Now it was time to dance the night away. From the whole bridal party, to slow dancing to a little "Dirty Dancing".
When another bride at the resort came over to meet Rebecca, they found out they only lived about 30 minutes apart in Illinois! How cool is that!
The next morning, after a few hangover cures...the party continued on the beach with jet sking, parasailing, volleyball and just plain fun in the sun!
Later that afternoon it would be time for the "Trash the Dress" session with Rebecca and Michael. Watch for the next episode of "Destination Cancun".
Comments are welcome and appreciated!
Makes me want to go back!! Destination wedding is the way to go...couple/few days with all of your closest family and friends!!
