Sunflower Farm Festival, Rutledge, GA
The 4th of July weekend in Georgia is typically hot and humid and this year was no different but we decided to venture out and make the most of it. Water bottles in hand, my husband, my daughter and her two children loaded up the vehicle and headed to Rutledge, GA for the annual Sunflower Farm Festival. If you've never been, I really recommend it! It's fun and festivities the whole weekend long for the whole family, especially children. For adults there is music all day long and plenty of vendors to peruse and shop as well as a large selection of food and drink to keep you going all day long. For the children there is crazy sunflower hair, pony rides, a petting zoo, a haywagon ride through the sunflower fields, and of course, fun little spots throughout the fields for photo ops and such.
Here are a few of our favorite moments through the day:
Not only the kids had fun, the photographer (me!) did as well. Don't know what to do this weekend or for the next few weeks??? Check out their site.
